I love the troll. He's such a nice sculpt that you've handled spectacularly.
I like the spider too. I can't really get a good look at it for fear my wife will walk past and jump through the roof. She's a bit terrified of the things. I have to keep the few spider minis I have hidden. I even have instructions to my friends about disposal of them should I die.

Too bad if she starts to tidy up in the hiding place, that would really freak her out.

Thanks for all the comments

Sme more heresy minis. I swear I have some other companies miniatures as well. I just don't get around to painting them.
These ones are some grubs

Nice grubs. They look really icky. (There's two sentences you don't hear together in the real world much.)

They painted up really quick. Just a few flesh tones mixed around, some other colours on virus areas then dipping and some tcr on the mouths.

Here are some old skool minis. Grenadier demon, I think it's meant to be demogorgon, thats the tall one, but I could be wrong there. Also a rust monster, thats the short one, its a pity that its front feelers make it look like it has a moustache like something out of asterix. I've only ever seen a plastic one my brother had when we were little and then we thought it was some sort of insect toy, only now do I realise what it is. The paint job was a bit of an experiment on this guy as I tried to give it a base coat and then liberally coated it in a rust effect powder hoping to rub the majority of it off. I had to paint over the top of that so its not great. The other monster is the one that I created myself that I showed in the workbench area. I thought I'd put a few adventurers in for scale purposes as well. two monsters were ones I just had at the top of my lead pile I wasn't too fussed if I did a bad job on them. I quite like the job I did on demogorgon. I based them all on some resin bases I created myself.
The adventurers are from hasslefree and heresy.
Anyway here are some pics.

Hi beefcake, great thread, I have been wanting to do something similar for some time now. You have great painting skills, most of these monsters (grubs, spider, troll) are truly disgusting. Out of all of the minis, I have to say that I like the Grenadier demon and the rust monster best (great brushwork on the demon's heads).

Keep up the great paint jobs,
 Damien

Thanks! I'll probably update soon with a group shot of all I have done. At the moment I am painting up a harlequin ogre. Not very dungeonish but a cool mini nonetheless. I guess it looks more like an adventurer so ill put it into that category when I post it!

Never seen a harlequin ogre, post up a WIP, I'd like to see what he looks like.

Sorry I can't help you out with a WIP, I've finished it :)

Poor lighting in my kitchen, I may post a group shot tomorrow so you will be able to see this one better. I really botched the skin on this guy but managed to reclaim it somewhat. I made him quite bloody and made the sewer grating and gutter thick with blood this time rather than green water.
I'd really like to be able to paint nmm but the few goes I've had turned out rather bad so I just went for the metallic colours.

I think the Orc guy looks cool. His armor has that nice grimy style and he is overall a pretty dirty fella, as befits a proper Orc ;)

The two human warriors above also look great.

Thanks all. I've been really getting into these old minis I have. Here's the next.
I don't know what it is but if I were to make a background for it I would probably make it as an evil sorcerer/demon that is trapped in a staff and has taken control of some unsuspecting dungeon monster. Based on a 30mm base wi an occult type sign on it. I considered basing it on a fire ring base that I have.

I like that Ogre! A great sculpt and you painted him well, the armour is dirty looking and very gory; a good job done. I also like what you are doing with the bases, very cool and original.

Keep it up

Damien
