Are the spectacles anachronistic?  I think that is the word I want...

Avoiding comment on scope...

I like the figure in itself, though don't see it fit with the other figures I have. The boots and general pin-up nature of the design don't really fit into my somewhat more realistic view of the subject (yes, coming from a guy who does dwarf, goblin and halfling landsknechts, that's rich).

Should work well with Freebooter's range though.

There certainly were glasses in the 16th century, but I don't think the frames are period.  (As if that matters!  Given the inherent nature of the sculpt!)

It matters to me.   :)  Even "Fantasy" shouldn't jar the eyes and those glasses seem to do that for me.   :(

But that should not stop anyone (like it would  ::) with this group) from buying it if it fits in with your other figures.   ;)  It would stand out as a jolting disruption to my nearest like period figures.   :-[

I do wish I could say I like something about it  :-I  but that would be a lie.   :?  Horses for courses, I guess.   ???

Gracias,

Glenn

Neat miniature, but the glasses really do ruin it for me... :?

Ignorance (in this case, of historical and military details) is bliss, it seems. I like the cut of this shootist's jib! I will be glad to add her to my little corner of Mordheim.

What a sorry lack of style this is, to run round the world and cry "they don't like what I like"

But not Bruegelburg, I'm afraid, given the 'Oh' Perv! Shock! Shame!' reactions to the Raging Heroes Landsknetch sniper on the Lead Adventure Forum.

Actually, that one I could see a use for. Any idea who makes her?  ;)

I'm not sure there have been any 'Oh' Perv! Shock! Shame!' reactions towards the Raging Heroes figures here, only that they have some elements that are anachronistic and would look out of place alongside historical figures. I do see how these could work alongside more whimsical ranges like the stylistically similar Freebooter range. I certainly know my own comments on the figures weren't out of some silly prudish considerations, just that they wouldn't match my other landsknecht fantasy figures.
