Crooked Dice: Talos and the Argonauts - IN STORE
« on: November 06, 2012, 12:58:30 PM »
Apologies in advance, as I really didn't know where to post these! They're sort of post war, but also sci-fi - and even useful for Fantasy and Myths and Legends games!

Anyway, we've been working on these for a while and they're nearly ready for release. The Argonauts are the mechanical minions of Dr Argo from our 7TV background and Talos is Argo's giant henchman. Sculpted by Jo Brumby.

Due to their size, we looked at various means of production to try and keep them affordable for everyone. Andy at Ainsty came up trumps with his new polyurethane resin and some quality castings, and he's casting away to get stock ready for a 01 December release.

All three come with separate arms and heads - and you can swap the Argonaut arms between both models for added variety.

Kev Dallimore has already painted some up - and we are delighted with them!

Pricing to follow.

Saw these at the weekend, they are very cool and huge :-*
Also have to say even though the pictures of the painted figures are fantastic, they are even more jaw dropping in the flesh.

MANY apologies, I took this from a thread on our forum, that applauds Jo Brumby's work in an earlier post.

These are now in store!

These giants are cast in polyurethane resin, capturing great quality but not weighing in too heavy on the tabletop or the wallet.

The Argonauts have separate heads and arms, so you can mix, match and position for countless variants between the two. Talos comes with separate arms for £8 or £10 if you buy him with his mad creator Dr Ulysses Argo. The Argonauts are two for £10 or £6 each.

Dam, once upon a time there were a dozen or so peroids and scales to game in now there are so many my head spins!!! I see these and I want them, full well knowing that I play no game that can use them, wait....is I add a smoke stack or two, some steam vents, and of course a big brass pressure gauge....yes I think I could just slip them into my Victorian Sci Fi collection!! lol
