The sort of flowing liquid zombie swarm idea is pretty cool.

I think, as others have mentioned, a 'mini-series' format would have been better to bring the book to a visual medium.  But I'm looking forward to the flick.   I'm a sucker for zombie (or zoombie!) movies.

And we can always hope Brad Pitt ends up infected and the final shot is him reuniting with his family and eating them.   lol

In the book are they suppose to be dead or just infected? the wave effect of them falling over each other is a bit to CGI for me. Give me George Romero's zombies any day.

Yeah a rental for me too. Dissapointing, as I love the book. My question is, how does undeath or a rage virus suddenly make everyone svelt and capable of lemur- like acrobatics? Where are the fatties on that pile?

Noticed but there just nods to the book. Don't get me wrong, its going to be an action packed romp from begging to end. But as stated before, its just not true to the story or the feel of the book.

Zombies are creepy, regardless of their speed.

I agree with most of the assessments, won't be the same as the book, but still may be interesting.

I just can't get over the fact that the son of the Man who brought us Young Frankenstien, Blazing Saddles and Spaceballs has become the resident expert on all things zombified.

I'm not surprised. It's the tradition of all sons. Dad's into comedy? Run in the other direction.

Yeah, I was excited when I heard they were making a movie based on the book, but it appears the only basing they're doing is, it's a war against zombies, that's world wide in scope!

I'll go see it, but I also won't connect it with the book!

Looks like another bad Holywood movie that relies on effects and action rather than storytelling and dialogue. Not a big fan of the fast zombies either. This will be a rental.
