Scavenge Skirmish Survive (UD 8/5 - the abomination)
« on: November 23, 2012, 03:14:00 PM »

A heads-up on my impending release by www.miniatureMOJO.co.uk (my store).

28mm cold weather modern civilians armed with simple weapons, commissioned for my project "Scavenge Skirmish Survive" but also suitable for other contemporary settings; think: The Road, The Thing, 30 Days of Night, etc.

Scavenge Skirmish Survive is a post apocalyptic game set in the second summer after a volcanic winter with characters and gangs scavenging and skirmishing: fighting the elements and each other to survive.

The rules will be a free download from the store, of which more in due course.

There will be 16 sculpts in the first release, 12 male and 4 female, with the most sophisticated weapons being shotgun, rifle and pistol.

The first four greens, armed with sawn-off, shotgun, machete and pick-axe handle:

As well as rules and minis, building kits and other terrain features are also in the works of which more info asap.

Those familiar with my Aliens rules and game will have an idea of what to expect from this project.

On a related note, some LAFers might remember my Generic Casualty Figure: this is being reworked into a set of four, which will be useful for this post-apoc game as well as other periods/genres.

I'll be adding a gallery and info page to the store but am very happy to answer questions here.

 :)

Edit:  Oops - forgot to say: 28mm

I like what I see here. Hope to see more pics soon. Nice to have more post apoc that are not all 80s style cyber punks or savages.

Looking great Steve. I particularly like the chap with the Machete in the puffa jacket. :)

The concept reminds me of the style of the film 'The Road'. A more realistic look at the aftermath as opposed to everyone looking like a punk or a biker kitted out in studded leather and body armour. :)

Love them, glad I decided to paint Zombies before I bought Survivors. I think I shall wait for these bad boys! Lovely style, your sculptor is excellent!

Very nice! I was just thinking about some bundled-up survivors the other day. Even in warmer areas of the US, I'd still want to dress like that in winter, and that's without the volcanoes! XD

Just to buck the trend, I really like the fella with the sawn-off shotgun.
I can definitely see a use for him.

Looking forward to the rest of the range.
