Very Useful 1920's Floorplans
« on: November 30, 2012, 07:57:58 PM »
My blogmate posted some of these up on the old bloggy thingy.

I thought they were pretty cool and useful for scratch builders.

Reminiscent of the Buster Keaton film One Week
If you haven't seen it - find a copy

These are excellent!

Saves me having to hand draw a load of plans for games like I have done in the past!
Saving the last bullet... just in case.

See my wonderful BLOG of stuff!

The sickle in the fruitful field;
The sword he sung a song of death,
But could not make the sickle yield."

Hi aggro84

Nice find and thanks for posting the linky.

It reminded me of the "Comstock" plan book for late 1890's details I have in the office - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Victorian-Domestic-Architectural-Plans-Details/dp/0486254429

... and then reading Smokezombie's comments also reminded me of the competition run for Letchworth Garden City back in the early 1900s, and I managed to find this -

on this blog http://vl203.wordpress.com/2011/02/18/the-150-cottage/

Even more architecture to build.

The sure are,

As an aside and not wishing to de-rail the thread, I actually had an elderly relative who lived in a very rural location with a "thunder box" in the garden - I was scared to death of following through the hole in the plank when I was little  :o.
