1/48 GAZ M-1
« on: December 04, 2012, 09:13:10 AM »
Just seen this is due from ACE. Looks like it would be handy item for a range of gaming themes, Pulp, VBCW, Gangsters WW2 etc. The Emka was essentially a Russian copy of the 1934 Ford B so it could pop up pretty much anywhere.

Looks very nice but 1:48 could be out of our scale.

Not really, I have 1/48 models that work quite well with 28mm figures. The Tamiya VW being a case in point. At any rate it's a damn sight closer to scale than the 1/43 diecasts most people field.

Agree, it’s up to the miniatures also, using of 1/48 with Copplestone miniatures doesn’t look that bad.

RAFM CoC Humans + 1/48 looks a bit odd.

I would generally agree that 1/48 is too big, especially in the more scale correct plastic and resin kits, but bearing in mind a lot of people use quite thick bases for their figures, it tends to be less noticeable sometimes.
