Step-by-step: Tartans on 28mm Napoleonics

Hey fellows,

since August I've been painting a unit of highlanders from the 42nd Regiment of Foot (Black Watch) for my collection of Napoleonic figures. In the beginning I was in two minds about getting the kilt painted. After some search in the world wide web and after studying several pictures of painted scottisch miniatures I discovered a simple way to paint rather well looking tartans on 28mm Victrix highlanders.

To make this task easier for other beginners I decided to give you a step-by-step view on my Blackk Watch. Here is the result:
