Just been in our local Poundstrecher and they have the same train set as last year.  £14.99.  Well worth it.

Picked up one of the train sets yesterday. There were two different sets avaialable: a larger £15.00 set with several carriages and lots of track, smaller scale of the two and 20th C. in style, track gauge ~26mm, And an £8.00 set with engine, tender, open truck and either a guards van or a passenger carriage; larger scale (to my eye) track gauge 32mm, 2 x straight pieces, 6 x curved. (The track and open wagon are identical to those in Sundayhero's thread.)

I bought the latter set as I have some O gauge track and this might match it reasonably well. With a repaint and some surgery to the engine this will make a neat little unit for Western heists and the rolling stock should be usable on my RCW/ VBCW games.
