Marvelous! I've followed this delightfully dotty project from the start, Colonel, old chap. Bash on with the riveting!  ;D :D

No! Not the dreaded VSF Gamer's Lung!  :o

He'll never be able to work in the balsa mines again.

You don't mine balsa, you ladle it...  lol

One does, I suppose, wonder when it'll grow too large to sleep in the house...

Hi folks!

Sorry it took a while to update all this gubbins - I've been busy.

Anyway, here's more on the engine room. Floors, walls, coal bunker and other bits added...

Rivet count is up to 3,899 !

More to follow soon, and more on the blog:

An engine room should be dirty!

An engine room should be dirty!

Once underway, but this is at inspection.  :D

Must say, one look at this, followed by imagining the beast lurching, and I went looking for images of ships' stokers. I mean, you can see, if the walker sways or twists, the bunker could disgorge coal,  smashing the stoker against the furnace. Most of the images I'm finding have a small pile dumped right in front of the firebox, brought up with a wheel barrow.

Lawd, what a mess!

Doug
