BattleFleet Baltic, a set of rules I wrote (with a lot of input from my gaming mates Steve and André) is now up for play-testing. We developed these rules to have a simple and straightforward, yet tactically challenging system* for using Spartan Games' Dystopian Wars models.
One thing led to another, and now we also have a broad-strokes-of-the-brush background for the game, set in an alternate year 1912 in the Baltic. The Hansa is still around, as is the Teutonic Order. And Finns, brain-controlled by extra-terrestrial squids.
We feel that by now, work has reached a stage where we can release it to the public, to see what people think. Please feel free to download our material and give us feedback on it, either in this thread or directly on the blog.
At the current state of development, you can float your Prussian Empire and Britannian ships to test-drive the rules. The other DysWars fleets will follow.
