I had some Freeboterz which I painted long time ago, adding some personal touches here and there:

But I recently painted these other ones for a friend. No conversions, but my skills have slightly (only slightly :?) moved on.

My friend had some other minis I considered suitable for this unit, like this Death Skull or the Runtherd (for Gork's sake, he even has a hook!)

The same with this boar rider torso. I made up the legs (well, the regular leg and the peg leg) and made him da boss:

The whole bunch of boyz looks like this:

Here you have a few more pics :):

Nice stuff  :)

I always found the 2nd edition Orks a bit silly and all, but I still appreciate their charm and the paintjob is really doing these guys justice!

Keep it up :)

Brilliant!
I love the old school orks to bits, and have a pile of them waiting for their paint jobs. I don't mind blending in the newer models, as long as the old chaps outnumber the new guys 2:1 at least.
One model I never saw used - I never saw, in fact - was the Bubble Chukka. I don't think it was ever produced, but I never saw a conversion either. I am working VERY slowly on a Stompa, and have converted one arm to this.

But I digress.
More orks, please.
Can I hope to see a weirdboy soon? Or better still, a warphead?  :D

Haha, thanks, pals, it's nice to see a few nostalgics like me :D.
Vanvlak, you have a Warphead in page 2! I also have another RT Weirdboy I think I haven't already shown over here, I'll try to correct that soon...

Great stuff  8)

It was the Paul Bonner illustrations that made it for me regarding RT orks. I'm hoping to get some paint on mine soon  :)
