I just use GW, Vallejo, Coat Des Arms etc. acrylics with tap water and just a white plate for a palette. Nothing special but I do find that the different makes of paint glaze differently which can be handy.

I'm another who loves the 19thC Sudan - it's probably my favourite colonial period. As everyone else has said, those are cracking pics  :love:
