Lego goes west

This isn't entirely 'on topic', but its very close and i think something a lot of us here will be excited about.

There are some things in life that are truly great. Things like cowboys and scandinavian construction toys. And just occassionally two great things can combine and become greater than the sum of their parts. Lego are producing a range of kits for the up-coming Lone Ranger film. There are already pictures on-line (if someone would be kind enough to provide a link, I'm posting from my phone and struggling to write let alone anything more advanced).

It looks pretty cool and is getting me excited for the film. And there are few Lego wargames out there, so its about time for a Lego skimish game set in the Old West.

Bit of a thread hijack,but those with Lego,how do you keep the sets built.wife is building the helms deep set,and was wondering about mounting it on a board.

Lego sells baseplates, simple green flats (about 10" x 10" I think) that you can use to build a model on top of.  I have my Helm's Deep and some additions on a line of plates 3 wide by 2 deep.  You could also use hobby glue (Elmer's glue, not the model kit glue that melts plastic) to help keep things together if you think you will be moving the set around, but that will lock you into whatever configuration you build.

There are also grey 48x48 stud bases which may be a more useful colour. The lego website has a browser for ordering extra parts individually (swords/spears/bows/crossbows etc); the baseplates are also available for online purchase.

Please don't glue Lego!! It's morally wrong!!!!
