You won't go far wrong with "All Things Zombie", from Two Hour Wargames:

http://www.angelfire.com/az3/twohourwargames/atz.htm

Easy to learn, quick to play, great rule mechanisms & a bucketload of fun!  Oh, and you can currently download the PDF for US$12.00 :D

Cheers,
Ian

I will second these a nice set of rules which aren`t over complicated. I have played most xombie games and all are good (Pappa Midnight is developing some good ne too which will be well worth trying out once they are released)

ATZ is a good set of rules as is Xtreme zombie hunter if you want to have a twist to your zombie games with I figure per character facing an arena game....certainly a good laugh with a beer with the lads as you call out your spnosors slogan etc.

I'm pretty sure there have been adaptations made of LOTOW for more modern periods and I think there's a Yahoo Group for "Lord of the Rings" [very similar]  other period adaptations.

Either way, with LOTOW, you have the basis there with 19thC firearms - all you have to do is extrapolate to more modern automatics, grenade launchers, cricket bats etc

There's also Xtreme Zombie Hunter, for those who want to throw a little reality TV and promotion plugging into their games. It's a hoot!

I know this is an old thread, but there's a lot of different undead-types depicted in the LotR-rules, that could be used as a base for making Z-rules...
