All those proposed minis and bits look very good and suitable. :) Looking forward to see them all done up.

Great job on the scarring! Fantastic brushwork on the eyes and armor too. I must have noticed his wide eyes because of the fiery arrow at his feet. Nice touch!

Thank you, DeafNala!

To continue this project, I have recently ordered a few more miniatures for my King's Landing/Lannister bunch.
Firstly, I ordered this dwarf to create Tyrion Lannister (I will need to find a head for a headswap, but firstly I need to see how big the head should be, so I'll wait until the mini arrives):

It's from Denizen miniatures, by the way.

To create the kingsguard, I ordered four of these guardsmen (from New Line miniatures):

And this head pack (from ebob):

I will post further progress here.

Good selection of figures you've chosen there  8)

cheers

I am yet to receive the bodies of the kingsguard, but the other components have arrived. I'm a bit worried about the ebob heads, since they are a tad small... Hopefully the miniatures for the bodies aren't too big and bulky.
Anyways, here's some progress...
I painted eight Lannister archers, led by a brave lannister captain, raising his hand to give the signal to release a volley of death upon their opponents:

Here's some pictures of the captain himself:

And last, but not least, Tyrion Lannister himself:

I'm afraid his eyes turned out a bit too wonky... But the books did describe him as having "Mismatched eyes", so I won't worry too much about that.

Your comments would be very much appreciated!  :)

I wasn't sold on that mini for Tyrion when you posted the bare metal but he's turned out cracking!

I really like Tyrion. Just finished watching the second season and he looks very similar to the series version. The archers are cool too

Very nicely done. Like the bronzey-looking armour of the captain  :)
Great Tyrion.

I echo Captain Blood's comments, these Lannisters are nicely realised - your claws are indeed long and sharp! The bronze armour is very suitable bling for a Lannister captain. I can see I will have to pull my finger out and paint up my own Lannisters.

Inspiring project here, it's really coming together well! What rule set are you planning to use for this by the way?

thanks

Great project and I'm really enjoying the figs and paint work.

But what I can't get away from is the Saturday Night Fever finger point - that captain is really "stayin' alive". lol

Very nicely done!

A quick question, I'm sure you must have a reason, but why is Tyrion's shield bare wood? Is it described as such in the books?

Thank you! No, it isn't described as bare wood in the books, in fact I don't think he had a shield at all in the books, but I just thought wood grain would be more interesting than even more red.
