Not sure if anybody else has noticed this but, the Megabloks empress from Pirates of the Carribean is on a very special deal at Argos this week.

Was £39.99... Now only £9.99 while stocks last....

Scale is perfect for 28mm and its a bloody good Junk for a tenner....
Just needs some super glue, a new paint job and thats about it...

I've been looking at the instructions on the MB website to see the best way to convert this. Any tips?

Apart from the floor, it seems thankfully free of the brick pattern. I think I'm going to try plank-etched plasticard over most of the floors

I'll see if I can take some pix, but yes, NO block pattern anywhere other than the floor areas...

So wood planked plasticard would be good, but I'm off to Costa coffee this morning and the conversation would go something like this.

Coffee minion: " Good morning Sir, what would you like"
( In a strong Polish accent )

Our hero " A large moca I think, with whipped cream"

Coffee minion: " Anything else Sir ?"
( In a strong Polish accent )

Our hero " A hundred of your finest wooden coffee stiring sticks to recreate the decking on a 18th Century Chinese Pirate Junk please......"

Leaves bemused with a fine hot beverage and free wooden 28mm scale decking planks.....

I have before me one constructed PotC Junk and a good fistful of Starbuck stirrers. Let the planking commence!

The Junk is rather good and I think will convert relatively easily. I'm in two mind on whether to completely respray or try and ink and drybrush the existing base coat..?

Agggh. Sliced through my index finger trying to remove the mega-blok bobbles with a Stanley Knife!! There was much blood. Conversion work temporarily suspended.

Hope you didn't hurt yourself to badly. I'm planning to clip the bobbles off then clean them with a knife.
