I wanted to share a new Kickstarter project from the team behind the sci-fi skirmish game MERCS. It should be noted that shipping to outside the United States is only $13 USD and they will have shipping from within Europe to avoid VAT issues supposedly.

The mechanics look really interesting. The miniatures and art is a unique style. It should be a family friendly game and the team is really accessible in the comments. They actually made a stretch goal to create both male and female versions of each hero because of fan feedback already. Also, they are letting you pledge for multiple levels. For instance, I pledged $200 at the Captain Level so I can get it twice with all the stretch goals doubled as well (shipping in that case would be $26 instead of $13 outside the US). Overall, it is worth a look.

Just pledged. It does look quite cool. Not the usual mini style I would go for but as you said, family friendly.

Looks like a quality product, but I can't get excited over the sculpts or art style. Looks like they'll do well though.

A this stage you get 61 minis and another 18 will be unlocked ian other 5k. That's a pretty good price I think. Quite cartoonish minis though.

Just got the elemental stretch goal. It's really moving along quickly now. About a goal a day. Getting quite a lot of minis in it too!!

MERCS just confirmed a German and French version of MYTH as well as Italian and Spanish translations of the rules. The stretch goals are indeed piling up. Should be a fun ride until the end.

Some new stretch goals are shown. If you are into fanticide you'll probably like the cyclops minis. And a cool looking Minotaur too.

Not long to go, a bit over a day, and now you get 148 minis at the $100 level, plus extra tiles and card sleeves and more. The base game will retail at $85ish with only 48 or so minis. Sorry for the constant updates.

backed it. Looks like a fun game and I like the cartoony models.
For me this was either back it now and gets loads of goodies or never buy, because off what I missed.
Hope they will reach the 500k mark. I'd sure like those metal counters.
I'm a sucker for high quality production board games and this looks like I should be able to get my non-miniature gamer buddies in on a game.

Unfortunately the miniatures I am interested in are only available if I spend more money (and get more miniatures I don't want) than I would normally.

Currently up to 680k, loads of goals reached, 151 minis at $100 plus loads of add ons. Only 11 hours to go! At 700k a cyclops boss is blocked which looks huge from the concept art.

Four hours and I went back to tempt fate...

Sigh

I felt there was too much dross I would have to dispose of for the gems I like.

Maybe if the figures I want ever are sold as singles... (Does Evil bay have theme song? If so, cue it here)
