Assembling and painting Polish Winged hussars (finished)
« on: April 10, 2013, 11:47:15 AM »
Doing something different this week on the blog, thought it would be interesting to follow me step by step as I paint one of the most time consuming units for By Fire & Sword. To show the process, and comment on the various steps, but also avoid the "cooking show" effect where I present the raw metal in one post and the painted up miniatures the day after.

(You can take a sneak peak of the finished result already if you want to spoil the ending, by looking over at the English Facebook page for By Fire & Sword historical wargame)

Part 1 and 2 of 6 are up on the blog now, you can find them here:

As was stated before, you have achieved some amazing detail for 15mm! Love the horses, the red, the gold, everything is striking.

Thanks for the kind words guys  :)

6th and final part about painting the Winged Hussars, check the blog for a bunch of pictures of the finished end result as well as info on how I made the flag and pennants.

The banner and pennants are outstanding, your painting is so vibrant, the colours are so strong; I love your style.
