Sources for 28mm British sailors?
« on: April 11, 2013, 10:39:53 PM »
Hello Gents,

Just wondering if any of you have some suggestions for 28mm Sailors to use on a few of my clouships. I see a lot of sources for gunners but not really any for just crew types and officers.

Thanks again for any help.
Paul

Askari and Pulp have some general crew figures.
Ironclad have some boarding party types.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

I don't know what style You are exactly looking for, but for cloudships I would suggest the Empress Miniatures Maori Wars naval brigade for the Retro-look.
Otherwise there are tons of colonial era british naval brigade from many manufacturers
Perry miniatures, Pulp, Copplestone, Foundry  and whatnot

Redoubts ACW ironclad crew would fit your purpose I believe

They are in the regiments section, in the miscellaneous section there are some armed landing partys too

Old Glory has a number of sailor packs that could be suitable, check Boxer Reb, Spanish-American, Pershing ranges.
First Corps has a few British sailors in their WW1 range
Gripping Beast/WoodBine Design has sailors heads
