Looking good. That's a mighty zombie hoard you have there. It reminds me that I need to glue more zed's together and get painting again.

When it comes to survivors though, I go for quality over quantity. I prefer good quality metal figures as I believe it gives players an attitude of preservation for the better figures. I also give them a more detailed paint job to add to this attitude.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

thanks

Concerning survivors, I'll paint them with more care too. But I went with these plastic minis first for using then as NPC/grunts, or game demos.

Later, once this ATZ "basic set" will be done, I'll order, occasionnaly, a good looking mini. But I like the realistic look of these. I want to keep a "very first degree" look and feel in my setup (it's why I modified the big man shoes, for example).

As a solo gamer, with no personal fortune, I'm always doing maths. Same thing for my dungeon crawler/light rpg project (using WHAA+WHL ruleset):  I bought cheap D@D plastic minis for monsters (from D&D adventure games) to save money (even if I enjoyed painted them, and think it's an underestimated range, but that's another story), and then, paid a little more for my adventurers (classic ral partha metal minis).

I didn't progress on the minis painting (I'm busy with scenery and some fantasy projects), but today I found 2 interesting vehicules doing my shopping.

The first one will be usefull in a warehouse scenery I'm planning to do, the other one will be usefull for escape-style scenarios.

Of course I'll repaint and convert the 2, to match my figurines painting style.

The first batch of survivors is completed. I just still need to matte varnish them.

thanks,

Concerning the fork lift, unfortunatly I trashed the box of it, and no trademark or name appears on the model itself.

It looks like the same forklift I have, which is a Siku.  German brand you can buy on ebay.

I really like wargames factory products. Great value for the price. I'm just a bit disapointed they didn't made one box including 15 males and 15 female survivors, instead of 2 boxes. But I will probably buy the female box in the future, to use them as ATZ survivors, but also supersystem civilians (and even 5150NB civilians, with a few scifi tweaks).

I'm preparing a bikers gangs based on the survivors minis I still have with more customizing and resculpting, they will be cool  ;) The last minis I'll have will be unarmed civilians for the games I was speaking about before.
