A bit of Birthday fun!
« on: April 18, 2008, 05:40:48 PM »
Painted for a friend of mine, as a present for his upcoming birthday.

A Eureka miniature, painted to represent my friend Danny, and also reference his job in a callcentre, his fascination with apes, his love of red wine, his habit of tinkering with computers until they explode, his passion for Formula One, and his abiding wish that he be allowed to own a gun.

To find all this in one mini was something of a challenge. I hope I have succeeded.  :) I think some of the detail work looks rough in close-up, but it looks better on the figure itself as it is really pretty darn small!

Over to you.

Very cool JollyBob.  It looks like you painted desktop icons on the laptop monitor... if so... wow, I'm impressed!

Wonderful!

I'd say you've achieved all your objectives with this.

I wish I had presents like this one. Socks and books about Waterloo are all very good, but.........

Thank you everybody, I had a lot of fun doing this one. I hope Dan appreciates it!

DFlynSqrl: Yeah, there are icons on the desktop, and actually, compared to the lettering, they were the easy part.

Gluteus Maximus: If you lived where we do, you would always be grateful for socks, nice thick, warm socks... mmm... socks....

I think the details are amazing! The blending is good too. I like the face in particular.

Once again, thanks very much fellas.  :) Sorry, I'd missed your posts earlier.

Bullshot, I'm glad you can tell what it is, I nearly went blind doing that.
