Latest addition as something a little bit different to my vaguely historical collection of troops for DA/BoB/WWI games. Bought these along with some Italian Bersaglieri from Askari Miniatures. Must say I am very impressed with the quality and really enjoyed doing this to the point where I cant wait to get on with the others.

its basically the Profs. recipe that I winged. He uses Plaka Brown and then highlights up by adding Vallejo Ivory I believe. I used  craft colours called Bark Brown and Ivory, Anitas Acrylics  I think.

I have some of those Anita's acrylics. They were nice and cheap, so I use them for doing bases & scenic modelling etc. I hadn't thought of using them on minis. They seem to work as well as more expensive branded acrylics  8)

I love cheap  :)

I love cheap too. They are very hit and miss and some are totally unusable - for anything. There is a similar brand called Inscribe which are absolutely wonderful but I cant find them very easily now. Still have loads of Foundry, Citadel, Tamiya, Coat D'Arms etc. etc. etc. though

Thanks ! I love cheap too
And it's just that I'm not fan of the Plaka Brown tone
