I've exchanged a few e-mails with Alan at Modelmates and the new verdi gris hasn't been released to stockists yet, however a pot is on its way so I'll let you know how I get on with it.

I agree with the aforementioned suggestions, of course.

If you want an effect like the original photo, maybe some stipling with turquoise and dark 'brown' metallics (like the OOP Citadel Tin Bitz and others) might do the trick for the transitions between the oxidated and 'bare' areas.
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!
