Over the 125K Stretch Goal.  :)

Here's what I pledged for... Full Assault.

Add to that:

Pre-Kickstarter sign-up:

3 Martian Drones
Assault Tripod

And the 125K stretch goal freebies:

Clamp Tank
Tender Tank
Tesla Lightening Gun
3 Hover Drones
2 Grenadier Tripods
Hard bound rule set

And I think I've got my money's worth.  :D

Now... on to 150K and:

Mine Layer tank
3 Field Guns
General Patton's Monitor  ;D
3 Hover Drones
Scout tripod with targeter
"The Red Martian"  ???

Good Lord.... o_o

Does sound good when you put it like that.  Just not keen on the human troopers, maybe its a 15mm thing.

With all the extra add ons it would be hard to choose what to get :o  Will you go for the kickstarter exclusive stuff?

Indeed... what to choose?

Almost certain that I will be picking up at least 'some' of the exclusive stuff. Will wait to the very end to decide what.

Of course as an older guy, swinging mood swings could see me go crazy and buy it all...  lol

I'm still on the fence as am worried about custom charges but the free stuff should make up for it.  I want mostly martians so they do have some good options.  I am hoping that the BEF will be released in the KS as that could make me throw money at it :D  As its 15mm I suppose there are quite a few makers of ww1 stuff that could be used.

I watched the video and thought the game play sounds good :D

I haven't funded a KS before so don't want to get burnt on my first one :(

I can understand that, as to be quite honest, my first KS didn't quite turn out the way I thought it would. Folks promise an awefull lot and then it takes ages for them to deliver.

In this case, it appears to me that the miniatures have been made and you can see exactly how they look. That of course doesn't mean that they could encounter production delays, but it means pretty much that the basic stuff is ready to go. No concept art stuff here or drawings...

The real question you must ask yourself is whether you really can't wait to get these minis in your hands or is it just something that seems cool to you but are unsure. If you are at all unsure then either go for a very basic, low cost option or walk away. Don't get sucked in by the hype of these projects. You have to look at them with a cool head and really decide whether you like the product or not for yourself.

Yesterday they released a new video on special units. Here it is:

I really like that Mark IV tank. I'm hoping that Patton's Monitor is basically the same model and will get it as an unlock. Perhaps when they break the 150K level we will see the Patton Monitor and the Red Martian... the first of the game's "character" models.

Thanks for the advice, I shall see how it goes.  I do love the idea though.

I really wanted to get in on this one, but I want the Martians only. They've put it out of my price range to get them. I know, I know who cares about price. My husband does  :D

You could just pledge $1 and buy the martians as add ons :D

I think the problem that they are having is that at this point a lot of the miniatures are resin and what they want to do is to raise enough money to be able to make them in plastic and thus reduce the cost. I think they require a certain amount of pledges to be able to be sure they have the money to go plastic, and they are not there yet.

They have also stated that they are closing in on a deal with a UK distributor. This is very important, IMO, and when they can get this deal finalized, I believe you will see the number of folks pledging jump.

Personally, I think it was always going to be difficult to try to sell a complete 15mm battle game no matter what you offered, so +1 to them for guts. They also have had a number of folks hammering on them in the comments and this set them back on their heals. Don't think they expected a hostile crowd. They are trying hard, possibly a bit too hard, to please and having been taken by surprise on a number of fronts, you can see their inexperience in marketing their product.

These are the kind of folks I think KS was designed for, but with a number of professional miniatures companies fuxing things up, people have become a bit bitter and skeptical... and they are suffering for it.

The more I see of the human "designs" the less impressed I get.
The latest one is Patton's Mk IV. 8 x 4" guns and a 10".
Who designed this monstrosity? Have they never seen ammunition?
The only 4" shells I have handled are about 2 feet long and weighty even when empty. The Sturmtiger only carried 14 shells, the Sturmpanzer IV only carried 38, and they weren't coal-powered.
It reduces things from VSF to VF, or probably just F.
