Originally I had wanted to do a squad of bikes as well...looks like GW never made any Ork bikes though...anyone prove me wrong on this one? 'Cause I sure want some.

Also, love the bike popping the wheelee!  :-* I'm gonna steal that if I can find some bikes!

Thanks, both, for putting the scale in your title! Helps a lot when voting. Amazing work at such a tiny schedule...

To face off with my first 6mm against the Orks that were the inspiration for me finally getting into Epic, that's awesome! The Orks are wonderfully painted and look the business. I'm quite curious to what you have in store for us the next five rounds. What miniature is that big ship/craft? Also, I can't figure out what RZA stands for... :)

Thanks, I wanted to do something pose or conversion wise to all of the bases. There's one wheelee, one biker launching himself from a rock and two guys banking hard to the left and right to avoid a rock. I was hoping these would convey an image of bikes speeding over the battlefield as I imagine them doing. For the other two bases I converted one biker to a sergeant (replaced his helmet with a head and right hand with a powerfist), on the other base I gave one biker a boltpistol to let him gun down that unfortunate Ork at full speed.

GW made Orc bikes as well. They were on an early Orc Infantry sprue and I believe on the Ork Armageddon sprue as well. You can still find them on ebay or at a few webshops.

@Steam Flunky: thanks, quite enjoyed making them.

Nice work both, especially on such a scale.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

Mike has had a Wu Tang Clan naming convention for his LPL rounds so far.

Hey Raz,

Thanks for the kind words...if you are ever over here in Canada why not stop by for a game? I also have a lumpy futon available if the game goes over-long!

The Landa is a conversion...the body is an Earthworm Jim gun, turned upside down with the handle removed. Add a few Battle Field Gothic wings and some tubing as well as a battering ram end and a dollarstore dinosaur skull and voila! Da Kustom Landa...better known as Da RZA (pronounced 'The Rizzer' for all you white-breads out there). And Darth James is correct, my ork army is "Da Woo Tang Clan". All names taken from band members and song titles/lyrics from the fantastic rap group Wu Tang Clan.

I may squeeze two more entries out of my Epic horde...but then again I may just put it all in round 10. Hard to know...regardless, you can expect to see: Ol' Dirty Bastard Stompa Mob (occasionally called Big Baby Jesus Mob, for you guys in the know  ;)), Da Jizza Kustom Gunfortress and crew, and special uninvited guests Da Skull Face Killas Mega Gargant!

As they say, "I gonna rub your ass in da moonshine!".  ???

Well, they do say that...

Great work guys.  I love a bit of Epic.  You never forget your first love :)

...looks like GW never made any Ork bikes though...

They did actually :)  I dont have photos (so no proof), but I do have several of the models.

Plastic ork warbikes featured on all of the plastic ork sprues apart from the very first battlewagin sprue.  There may have been a metal ork warbike from the metal Adeptus Titanicus era too, there was definitely a wartrak from then.

The plastic bikes dont look much like bikes of course, being mini half-tracks and all.

I cant wait to see the Ol' Dirty Bastard stompas :D

Mike, thanks for the offer :) That Landa conversion came out really well. I plan on building my own Landa as well, seems the Orky way to do it (certainly with the price GW is asking for it and the fact that it's no longer available :D). Only need to find a suitable part to form the hull, like that gun you used. I do have a few old model planes lying around... 8) Looking forward to seeing those Stompas.

Searched google for Epic Ork Warbikes, here they are:

Nice models, with that old Orky feel imo.
