Well, I'm in! A Greek infantryman, dreaming of Trojan loot, from the excellent Foundry Trojan War line.

Entry Nr. 7 (Mycenaean Greek Infantryman)

There is a fun idea and even if I don't find something in my lead pile to contribute, I'll follow the thread just to learn from the painters here.

:o  only just saw this thread.  Can my early Saxons count as 'Ancient'?  If so, I am in.

That's fine with me (and the Prof as well). After all, Sub-Roman is still Roman. ;)

Okay... I have to support this great idea of the Prof. This is the first Roman I've painted for 30 years! (Last time they were in 15mm! Same colour scheme though  :D)

Keith from Aventine kindly set me a few of his figures to persuade me how good they were, so I thought if I don't paint them now, I never will. So here goes...

Entry Nr. 8: (Early Imperial Roman Centurion)

I just found a caveman in my lead pile and they are considered ancients. Can I use him here? I really like this and want to join in but I don't have Greeks or Romans on hand:)

Well Romans are a bit under represented here, so here is one. It is a conversion, Salute 2006 Arthur´s body with Musketeer head and GB plastic Thegns sword. Based on a 30mm base to serve as the champion in my slowly growing Dux B. force.

Entry No. 9: Late Roman Champion
