So many hours of reading to be had! Great collection and I'm really glad to have some if my AARs in there. I think 2014 will be a very good year for Pulp Alley with the vehicles expansion.

Excellent piece of work collection all the AAR's.

Just painting up some Chinese figures for use as possible bystandaers in future "Missing Professor" scenarios.

Very cool! Which Chinese figures are you painting? I've been looking for some good citizens/bystanders.

Very cool! Which Chinese figures are you painting? I've been looking for some good citizens/bystanders.

I'm planning on putting together a few. Some of the Reaper townsfolk (or other classical townsfolk) work for "old world" women & children. There are some modern men with suits and the like in the Copplestone "Honest Citizens?" gangster pack, a few WWII civilians from here or there, a handful from Foundry (like the WWII british Home Front civilians).

In areas of the world outside the US and Western Europe, you can use mix in older models with a few folk in more modern wear. So, for example an adventure in India might feature a mix of a few modern (for the 30's) British types, some Indian men in modern civilian suits, a guru, a few men in older "big underpants" outfits, and some women in older costumes. The latter three are all available as Civilians in Foundry's 18th century Indian civilians. Similarly, you could use the Carlist Wars civilians for Mexico, parts of South American or Spain, 19th century Afghans, Persians, or Cossacks in the Back of Beyond, etc. For China, there may be some Boxer-era civilians that would work well?

It's all about offering the proper mix. For instance, I might use my medieval terrain as modern Western Europe. You take your half-timber buildings, add a post box, a couple of lamp posts, a car or three, and maybe a few phone/telegraph poles and now it's the 30's.

The really dire shortage is active children (8-15 years old).

How are you planning to use them? I assumed plot points is always an option, but I've really been hoping to have more uses for them, to have an excuse to populate the table with more bystanders that need to be protected, or avoided or whatever in more general terms than specific plot points. Is that something coming in Vice Alley?

Agreed. I don't know what others think, but it seems like it would make sense to be sticky.

I vote for sticky!

Also, Dave, I think it needs some newer ones added.

Do any of those reports give a detailed explanation of how the rules work and flow? I'm VERY tempted to pick up this set of rules, some Pulp figures and give it a go, it certainly looks fun from the AAR's I've looked at thus far. I do have the quick start rules PDF I'm trying to get my head round, but an AAR explaining what happens each turn/combat etc would be nice. Thanks in advance  :)
