I used a few of these figures in the last round of the LPL, now ended.

Here, for the first time, the whole regiment - 20 strong. For Parliament.

Mostly Bicorne, with a scattering of Renegade and TAG - all sculpted by Nick Collier.

20 opposing Royalist horse now in preparation... Might take some time though. All that ruddy leatherwork!  :(

This one reminds me a bit of the famous painting of Cromwell before the battle of Dunbar - only without Cromwell, obviously

Lovely brush work! Shame they are on the wrong side  .
The basing and table/terrain really help do the painting justice.

Nice!
Oh sure. Everybody's in favor of saving Hitler's brain, but when you put it in the body of a Great White Shark, ooh, suddenly you've gone too far

Outstanding! That'll give them Royalist nancy-boys something to think about!

I'm proper jealous of these, I love cavalry figures, but I've never managed to complete painting a unit. Too many smaller, easier shiny things to distract me...

Well done, sir! Clean and sharp painting with good details, but also a great impression as a whole unit. Haven't heard the best about TAG's stuff, but it all seems to be a matter of painting it up. I can't see any difference to the Renegades. Like Mr Pepys would've said: I'm mighty impressed. :)

Jolly good show old Boy, You must have a stunning collection given the amount we keep seeing in these wonderful photos. I am most definately looking forward to seeing these in the flesh :)
Great photography as well. :)

Thanks chaps

Actually, I snatched those photos, and they're a bit fuzzy round the edges.  :(
(Must get a camera where I can set the shutter speed, so I can get everything in a picture clear. It's starting to annoy me now!)

Assi - the buildings are, L-R: TM Terrain's Market Hall, Ziterdes city house, an inn by 'sellthatstuffboy' and a Conflix merchant's house. All resin.

Mad Doc - truthfully, TAG's product is variable. They use lots of different sculptors. I wasn't all that keen on their Aztecs (by Mark Sims), although it turns out they paint up alright. Some of their WWII stuff (by Richard Ansell) looks really good. The current large (and growing) rennaissance range is by Nick Collier, and although I don't think it's quite as good as his earlier C17th stuff for Bicorne and Renegade, it still has lots of character.

A couple more pics of the TAG horsemen below...

Very, very nice, CB! That's an inspiration to finally paint my Hecker & Goros 30YW.

How generic would you say the uniforms of the English uniforms were from an Wester Europe perspective? It looks to me like the lobster helmet/leather jacket/snubnosed boots and an occasional sash was pretty generic across the continent to.
