Hello all,
Recently I scoured the internet, searching for ASOIAF miniatures in (more or less) 28mm. Below is a compiled list of the miniatures I have found so far. I hope this list is helpful for anyone else! I highlighted the miniatures which I thought were the best ones.

http://ironwindmetals.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=263_276&products_id=7325
http://www.dgsgames.com/index.php/link-shop/product/12-apprentice-knight-of-vidunar (this one  is in fact a man, but I thought the face looked a bit feminine)
-   Renly Baratheon, unarmoured
 http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/human/latest/60148

Please note, I based this list on what fits the way I imagined the ASOIAF universe. Perhaps some people will not find all of these miniatures suitable. Anyway, I did my best. Does anyone else have ideas for other miniatures for ASOIAF?
Cheers,
CyberAlien

Wow, I think the dgsminiatures-knight is a very good fit for Brienne.

I am also slowly building some fantasy-medieval armies that Im paint as aSoIaF soldiers.
So far I have built some "Lannisters" using the Perry WotR range, some billmen, archers, crossbowmen and heavy horsemen. These represent a quite rich, advanced army very well.
Next I am going to use Fireforge models to make some Riverlands troops and a few units of Cleganes household troops.
I have thought about using Conquest Games Normans for some norsemen, but I am not so sure about it.
I have thought of actually using the Dark Sword model for Gregor Clegane, even though he will be twice as tall as any other man. That kind of exaggeration is ok in wargaming, i think.

You have pointed out a few GW LotR minis, but they are quite small compared to the Perry plastics. Still, a few of them might work. Grima Wormtongue would make a good maester or old lord.
If you want warriors from that range, try looking for the slightly larger models, for exemple this guy: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat980010a&prodId=prod1500364a
Forlong the fat. He would be a good northern minor lord, and seems to fit in well with the Conquest Normans.

Ive seen some poeple use different viking models(Gripping Beast, Wargames Factory) to represent Iron Islanders, but I'm personally not so fond of the idea.

Neither am I, though in combination with Perry miniatures bodies, those heads look great.
By the way, I know the GW LotR range is quite small, as I'm an avid collector of those miniatures, but the newer plastics, such as the rangers, are bigger than the old ones (warriors of Minas Tirith for example). The rangers look fine next to the Perry miniatures War of the Roses infantry.

Good idea, but wot - no Claymore Castings? ;)

(Also, not to be contrary, but what's with the red highlights? Bit eye-tingling)

Still, a few of them might work. Grima Wormtongue would make a good maester or old lord.

Not entirely unlike Walder Frey. (The TV version, at least) :)

Interesting, I'm working on the same project in 15mm, so far any WotR or early Swiss or Burgundian stuff fits the bill.....
In 28mm
For Tyrion and some of the other characters the range of Wizards of the Coast D&D minis might work, There used to 100's in that range and most of the dwarfs I looked had beards and the halflings were barefoot, but I think there might be something suitable in there somewhere, size wise, they aren't too big.
For white walkers, Mantic ghouls, and I saw someone using Warlord celts.
