Wow - Blackwolf's superbly moody painting and photography or those beautiful and poisonous (I guess from the name?) Nymphs and their "little friend"?!  :-*

I find it very pleasing that Guy is for once competing against naked ladies, and not the other way around lol

 lol

I am not sure, if this is a language-type sort of joke ... but in German ... a snail is also a (more or less rude) slang-word for "cute woman" (but it surely also depends on the sound of saying it) ^^

uhm ... well done both  :D

Nice entry Blackwolf... I have some Redbox figures (I think that's what they are?) and I have to admit their detail is daunting. Haven't touched them yet ;). The sorceress is fantastic.

Where are those nymphs from?

The nymphs and small snail are Foundry. I've been wanting to start this little force for about two years now... to be honest the figures are not sculpted real well ('Copplestone style' but not nearly as competent) and the casting was terrible requiring tons of cleanup. I was pretty sad once I got them primed up but I was committed at that point... I was happy with how they turned out in the end... only eighty or so more to paint! Ten more years of LPL should see to it ;)

The large snail is something I bought at Hobby Lobby a couple years ago. Probably justification for buying nymphs.

Drachenklinge... not sure about German slang  :), but as I was working on this one I kept thinking about the cut scene from Spartacus about preferring snails or oysters  :-I

Great work both of you.  I am drawn to the basing details on the Dr.'s nymph bases. Fantastic!

This is just awesome. Wow. I love the red box minis, I have some lying around but have not dared touch them yet. They are incredibly detailed and very delicate models. And I really love the atmosphere Blackwolf creates in his pictures.

And then there are the little fairies and their pet. I just find them adorable, especially as they look so grim and determined and are at the same time so wonderfully playful. Gosh, this is a tough one. Hats of to both of you gentlemen. Incredibly great entries.

Undoubtedly the most difficult choice of the round... understandably so when you see who's in it.  Very different styles and atmospheres, but outstanding work from you both.  How are we mere mortals supposed to decide this one?
