I haven't seen this - but Warlord Games indians are actually from Conquest Miniatures here in the U.S. and they do a line of actual plains indians - they're just not available from Warlord.

If you can put up with the cost of postage, no reason to not go straight for `em.   :)

Keep in mind though that Conquest/Warlord minis while very, very nice, are slim and small compared to most other figures.

Warlord do sell the Conquest plains indians - they are under the Plains Wars section...

As for the woodland indians - I think you'd struggle. The costume is wrong to my eyes. They might work for some of the 'Eastern' tribes which were moved to Indian Territory, as I've seen pictures of them wearing 'woodland indian' style clothes around the time of the civil war...

Ah, sorry my info was not timely.  A month or two ago they weren't selling any of the plains indians stuff.  Good to see that's changed.

Hey Nick - have any comparison pics?  If I was to do plains wars I'd really be interested in Conquest stuff.  However doesn't sound like they'd mix well with BS.

Not a chance, the BS stuff will tower over the Conquest figures.

They fit in fine alongside Foundry and Artizan, but are as Nick says quite slight, slender figures.

Elbows,
I do not, but I know I have seen comparison photos on the net.  Height wise, they will mix with Artizan, Foundry, even Old Glory, but style wise, they are quite different.  They are properly proportioned figures with in scale weapons.

thanks guiys. i actually dont mind the skinner figures. clothed miniatures are always much too chunky unless they are much more modern sculpts.

I enjoy the Conquest minis. After reading "Empire of the Summer Moon " which is about the Comanche> Had to buy a few and love them.

You'd do better with Foundry's stuff for Old West purposes. A really nice range. Assuming they still make them.
