Star Wars X-wing: X-wing expansion pack

Beside the two core sets I bought a couple of expansion packs which I thought would be interesting to take a closer look at. First out is the X-wing expansion, you already get one of these in the starter set - the expansion however adds some different astromechs, pilots and skills. It's not an overwhelming amount of content but you do get more than just the ship itself in the blister.

Pretty interesting stuff.

To be honest if the ship alone was being sold for £8-9 just as a model for collecting/sticking on a shelf I'd be tempted, there are a lot of action figures, statues and collectables from far less well known properties that cost more than this expansion.

Add on a few quid for the extra bits and pieces for the game, and to an extent just the fact it has a game for it and I would say the price isn't too bad at all.

I'm very interested to see a review of the Millenium Falcon or Slave-1 now to see why they have a much larger price tag compared to the standard Imperial and Rebel fighters.

I'm very interested to see a review of the Millenium Falcon

A review of the Falcon is in the pipeline and will be posted in a day or two. The "big" ships cost x2 of a small ship, Slave one is very bland imo so I just bought Millennium Falcon. Larger than twice the size of any small fighter and very well manufactured and painted

Played 2 games with Slave 1 so far (won one lost one),it's a bit more difficult to get the balance right than the Millenium Falcon.
