A tough one. Both have things I like. Th narrative in the first one is really strong, while the lighting and scene setting in the second really works.

I would be interested to know who makes the fellows with the guns.
Theres more 28mm Superhero Madness at my blog, http://fourcoloursupers.blogspot.com/

I have a deep fondness for civilian figures as they were part of every war throughout history and we often forget about their struggles. They bring so much to the gaming table and this tableau is excellent.

Great brushwork by both of you.

The medieval scene is very well done as telling a story.  The painting is very good too.  Both get high marks for painting.  The bottom figures have excellent white work.  All things being equal, I go for the better story.
I am interested in land warfare throughout history and beyond, except the Seven Years War, in Europe.

Very tough choice.

I believe the modern miniatures are by Tactical Miniatures, High Tech Criminals.

Two great entries.

That scene with the civilians is extremely evocative, Mike.
