Oh man... the Cobra Rattler... I'm in love.  :-* Hands down my favorite G.I.Joe toy when I was a kid.

For some reason Blackwolf, I always need to do a 'second take' on the figures you use... I always ask 'who makes THOSE figures?' even if I've seen them before! You somehow manage to make them your own. Those awesome Eisenkern for example, wow!

Mine too. In fact, my three favourites are all represented here. The Rattler, the HISS tank and the Trouble Bubble.

The Trouble Bubble - where did you get!?

The Trouble Bubble is a kit bash using parts of a Bell H-13 Sioux helicopter model kit, Lego, plasticard, guitar string and original GI Joe parts (the missiles). I always wanted one!  8)

The HISS tank is from Shapeways (they have an awesome FANG available too - I can see myself getting one shortly ;) )

The Rattler is a kit bash of an A10 Warthog (as this is clearly what the Rattler is based on)

I'm glad you like them. They were so much fun to build and the LPL is a great place to share them with everyone.

Blackwolf, it's still early but I think we're in for a great match.  :)

Now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb...

If you don't give me a better idea of what parts came from where I will go to wherever you are, and beat you down with my own Aeronef Gyropter Carrier.  That is the only thing that has been keeping me from planning out a COBRA army.  Is that the 28mm or the Heroic 28mm HISS?

Both absolutely fantastic entries

Childhood memories (still got a box of battered old Action Force toys somewhere in the parent's loft) or Blackwolf's beautiful take on Weird War 2(?)  :-*

Both are Brilliant. Shipwreck was one of my favourite characters and nice to see Beach head as well.

Love the work on both, but anything GI Joe has an advantage for me!

What minis and bits are the basis for the Vipers?

Blackwolf, just love the Nutrocker and especially the scratch work on the twin autocannon for the AT-43 pieces.
The weathering on everything is really super. :-* :-*

I only wish there were more shots of what you have done here...

Good thing I have a COBRA army to protect me then...oh wait, they're not much good at anything from what I remember  ;)
The HISS tank is the 28mm version.

What minis and bits are the basis for the Vipers?

The Vipers are from Heresy (Sci-Fi Mercs and Military - Troopers).  No conversions at all, just painted in Cobra Viper colours.  They have kind of a HALO look but the visors made them a good choice for Vipers.

They fit in well with the chrome dome version of Cobra Commander although I did 2 alternate heads for him using magnets so that they are interchangeable.
1) Chrome Dome (unconverted and included with the model)
2) Hooded (from a Pulp Figures' Hooded Minion)
3) Serpent (from Uncle Mike's Serpentman Demagogue) "waaaasssssss a mmmaaaaannnnn!!!"  ;D :D

Where is Snake eyes from?

He is from Chronoscope (Cobra - Modern Ninja) with a visor sculpted out of greenstuff for the iconic look I prefer over the original.
