They are coming along very nice Lead Asbestos!
I really love the old line. There's a lot of old school charm there.
 :-*

I wish the line had more ranged combat themed models though.

keep up the good work!

Milesian skirmishers next month! I've got more than a few archers from Renegade that could fit the bill nicely...

Looking forward to seeing your Milesians.

I assume Renegades Punic Wars Celts?
Hadn't seen those before. They are nice.

Lovely work so far! I must admitt, it was this project which swung me towards the Arthurian lead pile over some of the other candidates (I'm hoping to plagiarise a couple of ideas on mythological front!)

Done in time, but then held up taking pictures! Damn you, work and real life!

Risen dead, shit minis, so I did them quickly to look like peat bog bodies, idea stolen from the lovely Fimir army in the fantasy section, tho without the skill or imagination!

Fionn MacCumhail and Hounds, really pleased w/ these:

Skirmishers:

Sun Warriors:

Thunderbolt Mountain Cuchulainn, lovely mini, though he suffers from the Irish Curse a bit  ::):

So that being said, I'm struggling staying on track this month. May take a short break to paint some Age of Arthur stuff, as I may actually have a game next month! :o Miracles can happen! I'm still shooting to get the Celtic stuff done in time for OGAMs release, but if I can get in an actual wargame, my first this year, and it takes up a month of my painting time, so be it!!! :)

Complete and utter failure for September. Painted a grand total of 4 minis, none for this project.

Oh well, back on the wagon for October! :D

So I got bogged down, swamped, if you will... ::) Was not getting anything painted for this lovely little project, but I still liked the minis, and didn't want to give up. So I farmed them out! Two talented gentlemen accepted the challenge in return for piles of old lead, and here are the results:
First, the Sidhe, Bob Olley sculpts, by our own Dr. Falkenhayn:

And some lovely Goddesses for my Milesians, also from the good Dr.:

And now the Fir Bolg, some damn weird sculpts, w/ some conversions by me to bulk up the warband, and some stunning paintjobs by Rob S from the Oldhammer forum:

Now to finish my work on the Milesians that are left, paint or farm out the Fomorians, and done! Unless you count all the add-ons from other companies I brought into the project... ::)

Hope you like them!
