While growing up as a kid the book of Jules Verne were a constant companion and for quite a number of years i used to carry them around with me. Espacially 20.000 leagues beneath the sea. Brilliant story and totally inspiring. At one point i even built my own Nautilus, helped by my dad and older brother. Great stuff.

Interesting take on the Nautilus.
In the LXG list I had them pegged at:
Captain Nemo, Pluck 3+, FV+3, SV+3, Speed +0, Cost 44 points,    Leadership +2, Engineer, Sub-machine Gun, Sword.
The crew, Pluck 5+, FV+1, SV+2, Speed +1, Cost 20 points, Brigandine, Military Rifles & Swords.

But, as I keep saying, each person should do this their own way  lol, and my list was based on the recent film, not the 1960's version or indeed the book.

One thing I do suggest is that after you've written characters for a company, also write some generic leader types in case Nemo and Ishmael are otherwise engaged. Perhaps, in this case, a First Officer and Mate.

my idea for this company was what if the Nautilus went to war or its crew has to take a target on land that's why they have marines and boarding party's can operate on land as well as at sea.

he was just going to be first mate as i could not for the life of me remember his name from the book the only one i could remember was Ishmael which is the name in the LXG film.

Give Nemo a pistol at least. He has a reasonable SV and it gives him more flexibility.
So many projects..... so little time.......

harpoon gun (mussel loading rifle)

What a great idea! Very simple in the rules and very appropriate

Are you basing the equipment for the boarding party on Ironclad's RN boarding party figures?

I am about to do an IHMN comanpy of them, so this is very inspiring; thanks for sharing!

I will point out that VSF_Gamer had to get Lord Curr's company just for the Singh figure, to add to Nemo's loyal followers. Not sure if he's intending to keep the stats the same. I'm sure he'll pop in to the conversation with his own ideas.

By happy happenstance, he declared most the rest surplus. Not sure how the three he gifted me (Blessings upon you, Sir Randall!) will turn out, but I've a sneaking suspicion that 'Mad Mick' will be revealed as a nefarious Russian scientist, at the beck and call of the highest bidder, those shadowy folk in the Black Dragon Tong.

Given his loyalty is of the monetary kind, and the dead don't spend much, I suspect he'll be less a company member, and more scenario baggage and plot foil, but we'll see.

Thread necromancy here, but I wanted to express my gratitude for not having to make up my own stats for Nemo Etc.  I'm using the Meridian Miniatures british bodies with the gasmask/turban heads.

harpoon gun (mussel loading rifle)

Only giving it to one character would be, well, shellfish!

Handy thread for me as I bought some Scheltrum VSF divers at Salute last year. Almost finished one batch...
