W>I.P. Steam Tank
« on: May 05, 2008, 03:18:27 PM »
After watching Pappa Midinght demonstrate how to paint one of my Steam Tanks, for the British, it was my turn. This is my first attempt at using his techniques. It's simple I can remember him saying rather alot. After trying them I have decided he conned me, it's not easy  . I will be taking it up when I see him next and learn how to do some weathering and finishing on it.

Cheers PM I enjoyed learning, just got to buy loads of steam tanks to practice on

Like the little beast.

Nice fabrication work.

It's from ironclad miniatures, and the casts are very nice, no air bubbles, flashing etc.
Had my second lesson on the next step on my tank, so next pics will be up in a couple of days.  All being well it will be based and given some decals and completely finished on the next weekend.  :D

  Cheers

Fritzy has been having problems uploading pics so he has asked me to do it.
Here's some of his steam tank so far ( I think he's doing a cracking job!)

He will probably kill me, but here's a pic of a VSF Dino Hunter he's working on.

I really like it, the dead compy is a cool touch! Nice job mate!

Thanks for the nice comments, they are greatly appreciated as painting is not easy to me. PM I will get revenge for the dino hunter, and you were right, it is a nightmare. The finished hunter will have a brace of them being carried by the faithfull family servant possibly. As for the tank, I have been lucky enough to have been given step by step help from one of the best,PM. Cheers mate, it would of been on the field primer grey without your help.

 Cheers

As an alternative, you could have the poor old servant struggling under the weight of a dead raptor ....
