Need help identifying a Foundry figure
« on: July 11, 2013, 09:42:34 PM »
Today I received an order from Foundry.  Along with the figures I had ordered came a gift figure  which is their very nice practice.  I have never seen the gift figure before and hope someone can identify it based on the following description: It is a male 18th century figure.  He has a full beard and is wearing a knit cap, smock, breeches, stockings and shoes.  In his right hand he olds a mallet.  His left hand is at waste level and is in a fist; there is no evidence that the left hand had anything in it.  The hand looks finished not miscast.  Along with this figure came a rather tall thin barrel or cask with its lid resting against its side at the base of the barrel.  In the barrel there is an open sack.  Anyone know what pack of figures this man and barrel come from?  I'd appreciate your help.  Thank you.  Richard

I don't think it's from a pack, Foundry have a load of figures that you can only get if you use mail order - their infamous freebie line ;)
Commission Painting undertaken, PM or email me.

From the description, I would say it's an artillery crewman from the English Civil War range - the one I'm thinking of came as part of the mortar crew.  :)

Major you are absolutely right.  The figure of the bearded man is from ECW51/Mortar and Crew.  Great call.  Thank you.  Richard
