Thankies CV - I was all "on the boil" and the wash went wrong on some Mi-Go (4 out of the 16 I have to paint, I'm kind of a Mi-Go fetishist).

Really like your Carter, and great color choices with the offspring.   Well up to your typically high standards.

Lovely paintjob!! Just love your stuff!
Be mindful of the prayers you send
Pray hard but pray with care
For the tears that you are crying now
Are just your answered prayers

Some beautiful stuff on this thread, VH!
 :-* :-*

AND re-based my Avolak Castings Randolph Carter and Y'Golonac to be more "game friendly) in height/stability - RUN CARTER RUN!

I much prefer the new bases too.
Very sensible if you are going to game with them.

Lipped bases are for display use only in my opinion.

Hell's Bells... lovely figures and paintwork. I have just put an order in for Avolak too and overlooked the Y'golonac, it's amazing the difference a decent paint job makes to a customers need to buy..

You will see a lot of my Miniatures being re-based in this way in the coming months :D

Thanks for that! Yea, I think sometimes seeing someone else s passion is far more inspiring than any webstore.

All of it wonderful Drew

Thanks Tony!

I've started on a RAFM "Lesser Outer God" and cleaned up and assembled three "Elder Things" now :D

That offspring miniature is wicked! I also like the rebasing you did in the last two, I think those bases suit the figures much better.

THANKIES!

The bases are Renedra Plastics (they're just 2mm thick) though coins or washers would suffice - the "texture" was carved out of plasticard (theres a pentacle/Elder Sign design carved into Carters base) then "roughed" up with an engraver, then sanded smooth - it gives a lovely stone-like texture.

Cleaned up and based 20 Gravestones (a mix of Fenris and Tengu), some monolith/obelisks (Fenris) - waiting for the PVA under the sand to dry, so I can seal it with a wash of watered down PVA.

Once they are "ready" I shall do he same to my "Crypt of Cthulhu" :D

As a "treat" while I have been waiting, I've been cleaning up/assembling my Dark Puppeteer (jeeze it's a big model) before springing forth on the 10 zillion chores today brings . . . . .
