This is how amazing my Linda is - she found these wicked looking resin fridge magnets, she thought they might be useful for my various terrain projects!

I'm also kinda using this thread as a "Hobby Log" - in a hope of reducing my "Butterfly" behaviour when it comes to my many MANY projects - because I keep coming back to my Mythos stuff over and over again, and never seem to finish much.

My group of four RAFM Mi-Go (only another 16 to go from various manufacturers - and that's not including the Mansions of Madness Boardgame Mi-Go LoL) are nearly finished, just some tidying and the bases to go - blocked in my first three new Investigators (I'm having a go at some Black Cat Bases Investigators first).

Then I want to make a start on some Cultists (I'm painting my Northstar In Her Majesty's Name "Servants of Ra" Cultists first - they're already base sprayed a brick-red, I've decided on Dark Red robes for the first lot) - and whilst working on them finish my RAFM "Lesser Outer God" (and another "Creature" - but I haven't decided what yet).

THEN paint all the various Grave Stones and Monoliths I've based up, and my Uncle Mikes "Crypt of Cthulhu" - then with the other bits and bobs I have, I actually have enough to do a fairly creepy looking 2'x2' "House by the Cemetery" layout ;D

AND THEN (as you can see I have a long term plan for this) I plan to do something with a "Mountains of Madness" feel to it  :-*

While I'm doing all this - I have a host of other bits and bobs to do for the overall project - building Ice and Snow Terrain (anyone got any tips, I've never done that before), painting up my Street Furniture (I plan on playing some scenarios "on the streets" or at the very least, around the Miskatonic University Campus) and Vehicles (I've got three lots - as I plan to vary manufacturers for my Investigators, and they are all slightly different sizes).

See, I have plans . . . . . . (and all that's without my "Strange Aeons by Gaslight" idea).

I'm also keeping this up to date on my Blog - http://the-illustrated-london-news.blogspot.co.uk/ and at my Cthulu Miniatures Facebook Group "The Dark Abyss" - https://www.facebook.com/groups/479632472114359/

There's a Rough picture on my Blog - http://the-illustrated-london-news.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/the-thing-in-snow.html

I want to do some Antartica Games (Return to the Mountains of Madness) for Strange Aeons, so it felt like a good idea :)

Been kinda rough (again) with my health the last couple of days, so no real hobby work - assembled/cleaned up/based a few things - although I've decided my main Focus is going to be the classic RAFM Cthulhu range - I LOVE the sculpts so much. Still, some progress has been made hobby wise - just no painting!  :?

Stuff I got Done -

Dark Young of Shub Niggurath - Cleaned Up/Assembled - Filling/Putty Work still to be Started.

Great Cthulhu - Cleaned Up/Assembled - Filling/Putty Work still to be Started.

Great Race of Yith - Cleaned Up/Assembled - Filling/Putty Work 90% Done.

Mythos Altar (a Fenris Piece) converted/filled - just need to sculpt/carve Elder Signs on the front - the back has the Derleth Elder Sign, undecided whether to go original or Derleth on the front.

Jobs to do Today (assuming I feel up to it when the household chores are finished) -

Tidy up Painting Area (its a mess atm).

Sort out old paints and wash pots out.

FINISH THE MI-GO

(Hopefully) start the Gravestones/Monoliths.

It's horrible (in a way) playing catch-up, as most of this stuff had been done prior to the fire that decimated my collection - but in another way, it's actually been fun!  :D

I'm a big fan of Antarctica adventure as well. I even went so far as to build a table and a starter team of Agents in proper apparel...not to mention the thing in the ice! Have a dig...I'm sure it is around here someplace...

Todays Update - ACTUAL PAINTING FINISHED (Damn my rotten health).

"Elder Thing" (RAFM Miniature) - also an Entry into the Lovecraft Painting Circle - http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=62948.new#new

This bugger has been sitting on my Painting table half done for a while now, I woke up in the middle of the night and was "inspired" to finish him (it?).

A VERY exciting Update!

Even though I am not 100% sold on the 7th Edition Call of Cthulhu Miniatures, I am the first to admit - you can't look a gift horse in the mouth!

I got told by a friend today I am being sent some of the new Miniatures!

A selection of Investigators, Byakhee, Flying Polyp, Mi-Go, and Yithian with Lightning Gun!!

As they are being sent from within the UK, expect my thoughts over the weekend (unless the Royal Mail screw up even worse than usual).

New Toys - YAY!

I've got the 7th Ed Miniatures now, I've taken pictures (after forgetting and starting to clean up/assemble one) - and my thoughts will be posted later.

In addition my print copy of Vlads Army (a 7ombieTV supplement by Crooked Dice) arrived - very nice it is too.

I just need to finish the rules for my beloved Mythos Creatures, and I can play "Achtung! Cthulhu" Games 7TV style!
