And the Queensland Light Horse were bulletproof, capable of catching shellfire in their teeth, and single-handedly captured every village in Palestine through a combination of pluck and Australian insouisance..

They were just fed with a mix of marijuana, opium, heroin and a rare australian hallucinogenic herb. That was a part of the secret plan to create an australian Ubersoldat. That's the reason the Germans lost the Great War.

You've got me going now, Pete. Think I might get me a few Brigade Turks, too.

It would be fair compensation for your having gotten me into the Great War.

I think we should copyright this sentence...

Please don't! I've looked for years for the perfect way to describe the sense of inevitability you get looking at nice miniatures. You know, the knowledge that somehow you will add them to your collection. "God wants it" is perfect. I would hate to have to pay someone a quarter ever time I felt that tug.

It would make a great tagline for the website. "Adventure and Lead. God wants it."

 Rich! This has to go into the next version of Amazing War Stories! Experimental Australian Light Horseman!

More likely it was the home-made booze. Uncle Paul said the first thing his army unit would do when they made camp was light a fire and throw something on the barbie. The second thing they did was set up the still. I have no idea if he was joking. It seems unlikely.

I didn't get you into the Great War, it was the Zimmerman Telegram.

I always get the blame for everything.
