Swedes in RCW/BoB

Just started a new project - Swedish foprces supporting the Estonians in the RCW.

Inspired by the Very Moderate Swedish Civil War but based on the 300+ Swedish Volunteers that turned up for the Estonian war of independence and the events in the Aland islands. A good excuse to use the LKII tanks the Swedes bought.

As stated, can be used wth German, Russian and British kit as well.

Hi,
I have just been reading about the Estonian war of Independence and was thinking about it too.
I suppose the Russians and Germans are easy, but what figures are you going to use for the Estonians? I know that many had russian or english uniforms (if I understand it correct), but I wonder if all had uniforms, wouldn't many have civilian cloths? Is there any good figures in "east european"/"nordic" civil cloths?

After 4 years of WWI, there was a lot of army surplus going around. Although you see plenty in pieces of civilian clothes, the majority seem to be military. Much civilian clothing isn't really suited to campaigning.

I chose mostly military figures, but painted in the odd set of civilian coloured clothes.

Hats is the biggest issue, as most men seem to have favoured soft civilian styles, even if otherwise in some sort of uniform. Or took the stiffeners out of the military ones. There were some German helmets, but mostly caps.

The easiest solution is to use mostly greatcoat figures, and file down the stiff caps.
