Wow, the finished farm is just outstanding! The little details in the forge are mind blowing!

Dear Mr. Admiral Benbow Sir;
I am in awe of your work...so if you could help a four thumbed humble baboon such as myself I would greatly appreciate any and all assistance possible. I am in the process of painting up my own log cabins and was wondering if you could provide a tutorial and paint colours and order on how you did so to get the colours of the wood and roof to come out as you have done.

As stated earlier I would be most appreciative. Thank you so much in advance.

I think I've provided all informations you're after in this thread already. Please just read it thoroughly from the start and you'll find even the brand of colours used and the company who made the paper roof shingles. Can't provide a tutorial other than that ..., or did I get you wrong?

 :)

Just come across this post. The buildings are just wonderful.   ;D ;D  I love the painting style of the wood panels with the glaze and the drybrush.  I might just have to borrow that idea ;).

Hey Tobias, yes, in the end I decided not to use the smithy you provided. That blacksmith equipment is just great!

Yes, it's a long time since I posted here, but this was the other unfinished thread needing a good end. Schmied's farm and the church were featured in our Crisis game in Antwerp and there might be pics of the game elsewhere (January issue of Wargames Illustrated, for example ...), but only today I found the time to shoot the finished building and some of their details. So, nothing more to say about this, I just hope you enjoy the last series of photos of this set.

It looks so real. Beautiful little details you have put in there. Did you carve the picket fence around the church? It's really cool.

Cheers

Superlative. I love the autumnal tones of the graveyard. That's a lot of tufts!  :-*
