Looking for masters of Detection....
« on: August 02, 2013, 12:22:33 AM »
I'm looking for good examples of famous detective characters that have been rendered as miniatures. I have of course seen various sculpts of the famed duo; Holmes and the Good Doctor. But I feel like I might be missing out due to a lack of exposure to British and European detective fiction. Is there a master list for minis like this?

Copplestone Castings 'Sleuths' pack  has some figures that pass for Tintin, Nick Charles, Snowy/Asta (film version), Sam Spade/Philip Marlowe.

I think Artizan and Black Cat make some decent ones as well.

Oh, I didn't know that I had just painted DS Milner. Here is another look on him from another perspective. Excuse the unfinished base.

KillerB makes a John Thaw figure for the original Sweeney series in their Geezers line.  Actually all the Sweeney figures in that line.

Love these figures.
