Dinosaur hunt
« on: May 10, 2008, 12:55:01 AM »
hi im sure wether this is the correct foruum section but okalee. i am hoping to play my first dinosaur hunt game tommorow. i have 4 dinos. (on of which is missing atm.) here are some pics.
first off the tiranisaurus

then the alosaurus (?)

and the diplidocus

a group shot

dino one is 5cm to top pf head
dino two is 7 cm to top of head
dino three is 120 cm to top of head.
three questions
1. what are there real names?
2. what are the best colour schemes?
3. should i base them or not?
any questions welcome etc.

1, I don't know, I have a Dino I call a Knobblysaur so I'm not really the best person to answer this one.  :)

2, I paint mine in neutral greys, greens and browns, like modern, real world large lizards or as I imagined they looked.  Some people like the more fantastic colour schemes which looks great and much more exciting.

3, for stability it can be handy to have them on a base.  Also it helps for some rule sets.  If they stand up okay and the rules you're using don't require bases, then you don't need bases.  :)

#2 is a iguanodon, as far as I can see from the rather blurry pic. #3 is a Brachiosaur.
If you come for the king, you better not miss (Omar)

You might want to sign up over on the Lost World Safari yahoo group if you're planning a dino hunt. You may find some useful dino painting ideas if you check through the files section:

Pulp would be the right place, I reckon. I'd move it for you if I was actually any use as a moderator, but I do not have the first clue how to go about doing that. I've only been a moderator a couple of days, and haven't done any moderating yet.

But for now I don't think the dinosaurs are doing any harm here.  :)

I think my moderator powers aren't working properly, Prof. The only ability I have is "Set Topic Sticky."

Also, Alex, you may want to check that Plynkes gets this little feature to. I have found it most useful.
