Couple of questions for Zafarelli:
1. Have you added the lockers, cabinets, and viewing gizmos to your website yet. I noticed them before in a previous post and I think I might want to pick them up, but I can't find them.
Here you go:
Lab interiorThere are some more items to come (to be seen in Grimm's report part 3), but I cannot really tell when that might be. Things are still rather confused after the move.
2. Will you be adding the jail doors to your line?
Not at this point. They were just part of test spincasting mold, but the bars need to be thicker by 0.5mm to be cast properly.
3. What did you use for electrical wiring. It's so straight and even.
Florist's wire, straightened by wrapping one end around a plier, and then pulling until it was straight. The switches and plugs were made from polystyrene.
Some general notes regarding the construction:
The walls are made from 4mm MDF board, cut to size with a circular saw. The inner walls are removable, because we wanted to use the board for the 3. scene as well. If I can find the time, I'll post some pictures of how they slot together... Door frames are made from strip wood.
Painting was done with Vallejo Acrylics, the dirt on the walls was done wet-in-wet. IIRC, I used up to three brushes at once, one for applying water, one with paint, and one to spread the paint on the wet wall.
Most of the signs were stickers from Loki's extensive bit's box, but some of the more specific ones were designed on the computer and then printed out.
All of the interior accessories are available from Pardulon, except for the beds, which I sculpted, but didn't like enough to put in production.
Scene 2 is mainly made up from Pardulon industrial parts, plus some balsa and general litter.
Any more questions, please drop me a note
Cheers,
Jens
