WW2 Bolt Action Terrain Project ...
« on: August 10, 2013, 06:49:51 AM »
Hello all,

Just put up a new post on my blog talking about the start of my next big project ... building out a (hopefully) impressive WW2 table for my Bolt Action games using a boat load of 4Ground buildings in 28mm.

Check it out here: http://jayswargamingmadness.blogspot.com/2013/08/my-next-big-project.html

Regards,

Jay

That's an insane amount of 4Ground stuff. I only say that because I'm jealous though.

well, that's a LOT of stuff!

You know what? you should have some resin details to add to the buildings... it will give variety and will break the flatness of the lasercuts!

here some baisc examples of what i mean:

@Sangennaru: That is a great suggestion, thanks - I definitely want to add some variety into the mix.

@Marine0846: lol ... the wife just had a bit of a shopping spree ... so we are even ... but she still had the "my god, what are you going to do with all that?!" :D  Of course, she had the same reaction when I put all the wood in the garage to build a bar ... but that worked out in the end  lol

@grant: awesome!

@tomek917: it might be come over and assemble for a bit before the playing part ;-)

@folnjir: Indeed ... I think insanity is a good way to put it  :o

since the surfaces are pretty flat, you can use monovalve moulds... those are easy to do, or if you prefer i can do them for you! ^^

I think it's an excellent project, I too was blown away by the 15mm display and spoke at length to them about it at the show.I have been trying to get them to covert most of the 15mm into 28mm scale for a similar project just not to your scale. I currently have only 12 buildings from my town.

I am pushing them and have been told there will be: Roads, paths, a church and other buildings to come. Can not be quick enough for me  ;) They have added some corners to the available list you may wish to ad to your impressive collection.

Subscribed to your blog and will follow along.
