IHMN added British, Prussians and Fu Manchu 22/8
« on: 11 August 2013, 08:36:41 PM »
Seeing as the wife has been studying all day, precluding me from doing anything noisy eg The Community Shield or computer games, I've managed to paint an entire company of Foreign Legion figures for In Her Majesty's Name today  :)

Figures are Artizan March or Die plus Thrilling Tales. The company includes a Bedouin guide, Professor Moebius and his daughter Amelie.

I think that you'll find the Legion a very able force, especially when they are turned out so well  :D

Decided to take photos outside in daylight - much better  ;)

So here are my League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, most of them anyway. A gunfighter figure is on order from Reaper for Tom Sawyer but I'm finding it difficult to source a good Dorian Grey or Nemo's crew.
Any suggestions LAF'ers?

this league looks even better

as for nemos crew, given the fact the Your nemo has an indian outfit, You could just as well use some indian looking soldiers, or use sailors with indian head-swaps

Westwind are about to release a Nautilus crew and a Dorian Grey as part of a whole load of new figures entitled Requiem for Empire of the Dead. (they have all the LoEG Characters coming as well apart from Tom Sawyer who doesn't really count!)

Great ideas guys, thanks!
I like the idea of French style sailors but have had problems with every order from Redoubt so I'd go for Renegade if I went down that route.

I'll likely wait and see what the EOTD models look like first.

Hoping to get some British and Prussians finished tomorrow

In that case also look at Woodbine (via the Gripping Beast website), who make French WW1 marines and also do separate heads that will allow converting other manufacturers' deck crew.

As another alternative, why not go for un-uniformed crew like some of these:

I had already checked out Woodbine as a possible source of FFL machine guns, good idea.
Like the Pulp figures, do they have a distributor this side of the pond?
