My Mordheim buildings, now including not-ruins
« on: August 12, 2013, 06:27:38 PM »
I finally managed to photograph my improved Mordheim terrain:

I just added "some" extra wall dimension. All the plastic bits and cardboard walls from the boxed set are included under the paint.

Indeed!
Wonderful improvement of a basic building into something I would be proud to use on my table.
Love the brickwork and that floor is lovely.

That makes three of us of the "much improved" opinion. Adding some depth to the walls & losing the garish colors makes for some GOOD LOOKING terrain. GREAT WORK!

Very very nice! I'd say add some rubble in the next pieces! Of course, a "realistic" amount of rubble will make the scenery unplayable, but still, a few more rocks around will improve the look! ^_^

Thank you. You wouldn't want to see my first try at adding dimension (I used styropor back then). Took my some extra work to get rid of my first try before I could move on to this. I'm sad they don't sell the Mordheim sprues anymore, now that I've learned how to use them well.

I didn't include rubble because I do not like having my minis fall over. In earlier days ruins tended to be scavenged for bricks, so there's a cheap excuse for "no rubble" as well. Ive been carving some hard plastic bricks to build some seperate rubble piles to place somewhere else, but so far haven't magaged to finish them.

That is something i didn't think about, that's a very good reason!

Sweet! I really like the brickwork. A good picture for reference, thanks for sharing!

The wood is nicely weathered too.
